The experimental and performative project of the sacred microbiome aims to sample some of the most important holy sites in the world to engage in religious rituals in order to verify the transformation of my own microbiome, before, during and after having visited each of the sites. The analysis of the samples collected will allow me to visualize the metamorphosis of my bacterial identity following these pilgrimages.
